So for today, we’ll be talking about basically, looking at the veneers to change the shape of the teeth, the size, the patient come and don’t like the shape, is it a bit crooked, is it a bit too small, That’s commonly we encounter.
The options we have, we’ll visit, veneers. Porcelain veneers is one very simple procedure to perform for the patients, of course. It requires probably on average two visits. This porcelain veneer, it’s like a shell putting on the tooth, on the outer side of the tooth. It’s very thin, it’s very carefully crafted, if being looked after very well, and regularly maintained, it could last up to 10 years.
The other one, it’s called, a commonly used, it’s a one visit, requires one visit procedure, it’s a bonded composite veneer. They’re very good at managing very minor chipped tooth, or teeth, and again, being regularly looked after, well looked after, it could last up to seven years.
I personally like to spend quite a bit of time to discuss with the patient, what exactly your expectation is, which is, improve the smile, and the option would be a different form of direct composite bonding, which is very affordable, to porcelain veneers, to full coverage crowns, and to braces, the whole mouth where habilitation expects.
